Enid Wilson – AMFT

I’m passionate about helping clients reconnect with themselves and move forward after relational issues and/or trauma with a sense of strength, self-confidence, and healthy coping skills.

I work with couples, families, and individuals who are healing from a harmful event or relationship, struggling with a sense of self and satisfaction, or want to gain insight into themselves and their relationships. Therapy is as a process of strengthening your connection to yourself while also building new skills and awareness, and together we can work toward more self-awareness, satisfaction, and stronger communication skills while decreasing the negative effects of stress and conflict.

The primary modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and cognitive restructuring, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, and The Gottman Institute’s research for healthy couples’ relationships. Every treatment plan is customized based on the needs, learning styles, cultural considerations, and goals of each client. I also advocate for body awareness and the importance of physiological regulation. Topics I work with include: anxiety, healing from trauma, processing grief and breakups, infidelity, depression, dissociation, self-awareness and self-soothing, military life, and relational conflicts.

Therapy is a process, and finding the right fit for you is so important! I believe in working collaboratively with clients and leading from a place of hope—I like to meet people where they are at and believe that everyone has the capacity to grow, change, and feel even better through the process of therapy.
